Once home to the Kings of England, (two of them are buried here!) Hannover has the largest city forest in Europe as well as the famous Royal Baroque Gardens of Herrenhausen, laid out by Electress Sophie, the mother of King George I.
And there is even more! The Expo 2000 took place here and has left remarkable imprints for you to discover. Of course Hannover was chosen for Expo because it has form. We're an international trade fair city (Deutsche Messe) with the world's largest fairground and annual events like the technology show CeBIT and the Hannover Trade Fair at the heart of our annual Calendar attracting over 2 million visitors per year.
There are also a host of world class museums to visit and events the year round including the "Schützenfest", Maschseefestival, Swinging Hannover and the International Firework Competition.
Not enough: Hannover was awarded the title: Unesco City of Music - Find out why in our Tours.
Next year we will be honoring Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Hannover's all time "Universal Genius", who was buried in Hannover 300 years ago. Of course he will play a major role in our tours as well.
